The Body of Art was launched in 2005 by celebrity makeup artist Dani Fonseca, and has grown to become a versatile team of professionals with a wide range of talents: body painting, makeup application, hair styling, special fx, prop fabrication, and more. The size of our team and variety of our artists allows us to work on dynamic, custom requests with exceptional efficiency.

A native to the 5 boroughs of New York City, Dani brings over 15 years of extensive knowledge and experience from both the fine art and fashion industries to her business. Her creative talent stems from a background in painting and drawing as well as years of working in theater, painting sets and designing makeup.
Dani works as an educator of airbrush makeup and body art both in the U.S. and internationally. She is affiliated with the Academy of Freelance Makeup, The Powder Group, Make Up For Ever, Mehron, Temptu, and The School of Professional Makeup. Her designs have been worn by Lady Gaga, Adriana Lima, Cirque du Soliel performers, Victoria’s Secret models, and graced countless runways.
In addition to her longstanding career as an artist and educator, Dani is passionate about giving back and supporting the artistic community. She has created a leadership program for people in the creative beauty industry, empowering the participants to become virtuous industry leaders.
